Our Mission Statement

The primary purpose of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC) is to make a positive difference in the quality of life for people within the greater Los Angeles area, focusing on issues related to education, children, survivors of abuse, persons with disabilities, and homelessness, by providing financial grants and volunteer service to those in need within the greater Los Angeles area. LATLC is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and organized exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

If your organization believes that its purpose falls within our Mission Statement we encourage you to complete the Grant application process to be considered for a Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities partner organization grant. Below is a summary of the application process. PLEASE NOTE: LATLC implemented a new online application process and single grant payment date. This new application allows you to complete, review and return to the draft application before final submission.

Our Process

Step 1

Submit Application

Click on the button below and fill out the application completely. Please provide all requested information.

Step 2

Partner Charities Committee Review

Grant application is reviewed to determine if request comports with our mission statement.

Step 3

Follow Up/ Further Information

Based on the initial application we may request additional information.

Step 4

Board of Directors Review

All requests that comport with our mission statement are submitted to the full Board for consideration.

Step 5

Decision and Notification

Applicant organizations are informed once a decision is made.
