Los Angeles has long been considered the epicenter of homelessness. While there is no single solution, Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities has partnered with organizations helping people without homes since our founding. Always seeking new ways to serve, our organization wanted to do more to match the great local need of the unsheltered. That’s why LATLC created a third signature event, “Day of Dignity,” to join “Comfort & Joy” and the “Great Tryke Giveaway.” The THIRD “Day of Dignity” returns to Hollywood on October 28, 2023.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2023 HOLLYWOOD

On SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28 LATLC will again partner with The Center, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Power of a Shower, and community organizations for our third DAY OF DIGNITY. JOIN US. You can become a SPONSOR or VOLUNTEER.

2022 – Second Day of Dignity

LATLC was able to hold its second Day of Dignity following the worst of the pandemic.

We moved the event to Hollywood, in the shared parking lot of The Center, a wonderful group that assists the unhoused, and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In addition to again having manicures, showers, lunch, clothing, chiropractic, medical, and dental services, we brought in COVID-19 vaccines and the UCLA Podiatry school. The 500 toiletry kits assembled during the Great Tryke Giveaway were also provided to attendees.

2019 – First Day of Dignity

The goal of the first “Day of Dignity” was to hold it shortly after the 2019 CAALA Convention, where volunteers stopping by the LATLC Booth helped to assemble 500 toiletry kits. Each kit was filled with shampoo, conditioner, soap bars, hand sanitizer, a toothbrush kit, lip balm, sunscreen, deodorant, tampons for women, a folding brush and mirror, and thanks to the continued generosity of Bombas©, we added a new pair of socks.

There were more than 250 attendees and 90 volunteers at the event in Venice on September 21, 2019. There were medical and dental exams from the Venice Family Clinic, 100 chiropractic adjustments from Elite Sports Medicine, a taco truck and healthy snacks for fresh food, and a clothing area for attendees to select their own items. Mobile hot showers were provided by one of our partners, “Power of a Shower,” and thanks to HBOG member Kathy Volz, each person was given a brand-new towel.
