Ryan J. Clarkson is the President and principal shareholder of Clarkson Law Firm, P.C. He is a consumer trial lawyer who primarily represents classes of consumers in connection with consumer protection violations, defective products, mass torts, pharmaceutical litigation, illegal employment practices, and environmental litigation.
Clarkson earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law where he graduated summa cum laude. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and is admitted to practice in both California and Michigan.
Prior to founding Clarkson Law Firm, Ryan litigated at a prominent class action and complex civil litigation plaintiff firm in Southern California. Before transitioning to the plaintiff side, Clarkson litigated at a distinguished law firm in the Midwest, where he represented some of the most influential multi-national corporations in the world.
Clarkson is an active member of the Board of Directors of Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC), a non-profit which focuses on issues related to children’s education, survivors of abuse, persons with disabilities, and homelessness by providing financial assistance to needy persons and groups in the greater Los Angeles area.
Courts have certified Clarkson as class counsel in state-wide and nation-wide class action cases. He has resolved numerous matters on behalf of his clients with amounts in controversy exceeding tens of millions of dollars. Clarkson grew up in metropolitan Detroit, Michigan. He is proficient in French, Spanish, and Farsi. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys playing golf, basketball, and softball.
