Lauren Wood

Lauren Wood has over ten years of litigation experience, specializing in all types of plaintiffs’ personal injury and wrongful death matters. Prior to joining Omega Law Group, Lauren was a former partner of the Law Offices of Schurmer and Wood in Ventura County. She has tried numerous cases to verdict—all of which were trials where she was either the solo trial attorney or lead chair—and also has experience in arbitration and settling cases through mediation and other methods of alternative dispute resolution.

Lauren has obtained hundreds of six and seven-figure verdicts and settlements for her clients. She is an active member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice law in California state courts as well as the United States District Court, Central District of California.

Lauren Wood is actively involved in many local and statewide attorney organizations. She is a current board member of the Western Trial Lawyers Association (WTLA) and an emeritus member of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities (LATLC). Ms. Wood served a three-year term on the State Bar’s California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA) Board of Directors from 2016 to 2018. She also served as the Secretary of the Ventura County Barristers and served as a board member of the Ventura County Bar Association from 2019-2021. In addition to her success both in and out of the courtroom, Lauren Wood has received numerous professional accolades. Ms. Wood has been named a 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star. Ms. Wood was also nominated by the Santa Barbara Young Professionals for the 2015 Santa Barbara Young Professional of the Year, an award that recognizes professional achievements as well as community involvement and volunteer work. Lauren has also received numerous awards for her service to LATLC, including several presidential awards for outstanding achievement.

Lauren Wood received her law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California. While in law school, Lauren also studied at the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense in Paris, France. Lauren received her undergraduate degree from the University of California Santa Barbara and earned her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science and a minor in Global Peace and Security.
