Jill McDonell

Jill is a solo Practitioner in west Los Angeles, provides consulting and contracting on complex projects, such as dispositive and appellate briefing, and state and federal law and motion practice. She was named Appellate Lawyer of the Year 2012 by Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (“CAALA”). Jill was also named one of Top 20 Lawyers under 40 in California by California, Daily Journal (while still less than 40!). She was a Trial Lawyer of the Year Finalist 1997 from Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. Emeritus member of the CAALA board of governors and education committee chair in 2010 and 2011. She is presently an emeritus member of the CAALA board and has been a member since 1998; She was also a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (“CAOC”) board from 2001 through 2004, and a member of the CAOC Forum Editorial staff from 1998 to 2001. She was a member of the L.A. County Bar Judicial Election Evaluation Committee from 2004 to 2008. Memberships: CAOC; CAALA; LA County Bar, (Loyola) Civil Justice Program. Jill received CAALA Presidential Awards in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2010 and 2011. She attended Southwestern University School of Law and earned her JJ.D. from 2 Year SCALE Program, Full Scholarship; U.C. Irvine, B.A. where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Most importantly Jill was a Founding Member of LATLC in 2006 and served on its board of Governors from 2006 through 2013. Jill has been a member of the LATLC Honorary Board of Governors each and every year from 2006 to the present. The only member of the Honorary Board to be a member all 12 consecutive years.
