What is the Service Project?
LATLC will sponsor Bresee Youth’s annual Mother’s Day party! About 15 mothers from Bresee’s Family Services Program and Gang Reduction Youth Development Program are selected to be “pampered,” have a special outdoor brunch/lunch, and receive some thoughtful gifts. LATLC hosted it in 2019 and this year it will be a HYBRID volunteer opportunity.
- You can create artwork for “cards” and email them to us so we can create personalized cards for the special moms; OR
- You can join us IN PERSON at the celebration, where we will decorate the parking lot for the mothers who will each be at separate tables (social distancing), and safely serve the meals; OR
- You can do BOTH!
Who They Are
Bresee battles poverty by empowering youth and families in Los Angeles with the skills, resources, and relationships necessary to thrive. Through collaboration with the Wilshire FamilySource Center, Bresee’s Family Services team provides intensive wrap-around support for the families of the youth Bresee serves and social and economic stability for the community at large.
