Alyssa K. Schabloski

Alyssa Kim Schabloski practices in all areas of civil litigation, including employment, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death. She has obtained millions in verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients, including a $12.3 million verdict on behalf of five police recruits for disability discrimination; a $5.9 million settlement for 11 motorcycle officers after they were retaliated against for reporting and refusing to comply with an illegal ticket quota; a $5.5 million settlement for an infant who suffered a hypoxic brain injury; a $4.5 million settlement for a family who lost their mother due to failure to diagnose preeclampsia; a $1.8 million settlement for a family whose son drowned in high school gym class; and a $2.96 million settlement for a youth minister whose leg was amputated due to medical negligence during surgery.

In addition to her success inside the courtroom, Ms. Schabloski worked to improve healthcare at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Journal of International Law & Foreign Affairs, as well as a managing editor for the Journal of Sexual Orientation Law (now The Dukeminier Awards Journal of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law). As a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Ms. Schabloski clerked with the Honorable Victoria Gerrard Chaney, now a Justice in the California Court of Appeal.

She received her JD at the University of California, Los Angeles, Master of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles and her Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York. Alyssa has been named a Top 100 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star, Top 50 Women Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star, and the 2016 Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles “Rising Star.” She also received the Morris Greenspan Memorial Prize in International Law from UCLA School of Law and the Ruth J. Roemer Award for Social Justice from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

Her professional associations and memberships include Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Board of Governors and Chair of New Lawyers Committee; Consumer Attorneys of California, Member; Cowboy Lawyers Association; and the State Bar of Arizona.
