Shawn J. McCann

Shawn J. McCann specializes in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice, product liability, and environmental contamination. He is dedicated to improving the ethical and professional standards of the practice of law so that litigants may receive effective representation and the public may benefit from the efficient administration of justice. Due to seven-figure settlements and the acumen he has demonstrated in trial, Mr. McCann has been identified repeatedly as a Rising Star and Super Lawyer in the legal community.

Shawn was admitted to the California Bar in 2003. He attended Loyola Law School and was a member of the Byrne Trial Advocacy Team 2001-02 and the Entertainment Law Review from 2002-03. Shawn received his B.S. from Villanova University in 2000 and he graduated Cum Laude. Shawn is a frequent speaker at the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) Convention in Las Vegas and author in the Advocate Magazine. Shawn has been named a SuperLawyers rising star from 2005 through 2013 and a Super Lawyer in 2014. He received the CAALA Presidential Award in 2011. He has been awarded the American Association of Justice (AAJ) New Lawyers Division Scott Baldwin Trial Lawyer of the Year Award in 2011.

Shawn is a California State Delegate for American Association for Justice, a member of the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) from 2011-Present, LA County Bar Association Judicial Election Evaluation Committee from 2010-Present, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (CAALA) Board of Governors from 2008-Present, a member of the CAALA Executive Committee from 2013-Present, and a Trustee of the Pound Civil Justice Institute. Shawn is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and sits on its Executive Committee.
